    Kibitzer Memorial Badass Award

Ashlynn was simply amazing. Her game and demeanor are so quite and yet deadly. Imagine next year when all our injured players come back. This team, when healthy, is going to be so deadly. Add in the incoming freshman too, pure fuegggoooo

She did a master class defense on Fair. Nika has a super bright future ahead of her.

UConn vs. Syracuse post game - on to the sweet 16!

Ashlynn is such a tough cookie. That young lady is built for these types of games. We were so lucky to recruit her and get her.

UConn vs. Syracuse post game - on to the sweet 16!

I'm soooo happy right now.. what a win for Uconn... Believe me, these games matter so much down the strech of this tournament. All these young ladies for the huskies showed an enormous heart tonight. ❤️ On to Portland. Uconn needs Nika to score at least 10 points. This game is the exception...

The whole team really.. but the real badass is meee!!!!

    It’s Syracuse!

I'm not worried, even if Syracuse beat Notre Dame twice. I was more worried about today's game than anything. Syracuse won't be able to guard all our players

    Who will Sarah Strong pick?

I dont think academic prowess is a factor in Strongs decision. Outside of Duke, all other schools are more basketball prone. Although Uconn is an excellent academic institution as well. To me, it comes down to making an immediate impact. At Uconn, she will be an Aalyah type of forward, but woth...

Front row seat for Allie Ziebell!

Even if Paige wanted to, I think Uconn will find another non athletic scholarship for her. They'll allocate funds for her.

    Who will Sarah Strong pick?

I wonder how Mulkey and Staley feel about Strongs final three? I reaaalllyyy licensure chances. Plus, her mom is so close to her at Boston..

    More overseas Huskies

I'm not a fan of violence nor condome it.. But shoot, look at our girl squaring up.. It's part of the sport though. Not her best moment, but she stood up for herself.

    Marvelous Maya [merged thread]

I can't imagine anyone creating an all time starting 5 team without Maya in it, both in college and professional level. She is the epitome of an absolute winner. If not for retirement, Maya would of won at least 2 more chips..

Week 15 AP Top 25 poll - UConn down to #15

If we make it to the sweet 16, consider this season very very successful. Considering who we have sitting on the bench due to injuries, a sweet 16 spot should be seen as super successful

Muhl vs Makurat: Who Is/Was Better?

I agree.. if she would stayed one more year like Dorka, it would of been a world of a difference in her game. But, money talks bro.

    February recruiting thread

I hope she chooses Uconn and is open to being challenged in one of the most demanding women's basketball program in the world/country. Fingers

    UConn - SC post game

I'm not even pressed about this loss.. All these loses only.make us stronger down the stretch, where it really counts. With the players we have injured on the bench, I'm actually proud of how this team is responding to the situation. Sucks that we lost, UT now we can focus on closing out the...

How UConn will Beat South Carolina

Whatever the outcome of this game may be, let's keep in mind of the fact that we have aubrey, azzi, Jana, Ayanna, and Caroline on the bench. Those players on the bench injured, can easily be a top 25 team in another school. Easily. I hope we can play SC next year with our squad fully healthy.

AP Top 25 - UConn down to #11

It's safe to say with LSU loosing today to an unranked team, we can expect Uconn back in the top 10 next week. Assuming all goes well this week. :-)

UConn - Notre Dame post game

It's fine.. as a freshman, you feel less fear and pressure than when you're expected to be the great. Notre Dame has absolutely no expectation from the Hidalgo girl. At not for this year... Hidalgo is the entire offense and next year her average will drop significantly because she is not in a...

UConn - Notre Dame post game

IMO, I'm fine with this loss. This is a non conference game and the girls gotta be focused on the big east tournament. These loses, the way I see them, are preparations for the ncaa tournament. And please, keep in mind that 4 players injured on the bench that, if healthy, the outcomes of these...

    Recruits at game tomorrow?

We are oh so spoiled... Other teams would dream to have what we huskies fan call a "bad season". Like I said earlier, I would consider it a good season if Uconn makes it to the sweet 16, even if they loose. The injured players we have on our bench can easily be a top 25 team.

Analysis and comments - Game 21 - UConn vs Notre Dame

77-73 Uconn... I'm thinking Notre Dame is going to come I to Storrs with energy from their recent loss to Syracuse.

Paige attends pep rally at Enfield HS

Paige is such as excellent ambassador for not just womens basketball but women's sports as a whole. Not to be bias, but I can't think of a better person.

    Optimism

This Uconn squad is so much fun to watch. We have been spoiled rotten (not complaining) with past Uconn squads. I love that this team, considering who they have sitting on the bench due to injuries, plays with such heart and passion. Not to say Uconn squads in the past didn't play with passion...

    Simply Domin8ing

Our players, who we lost this season due to injuries, can easily start their own team and be a top e5 team. Easily that's how good we actually are.. I hope Paige and company stay one more year and really rock the out of women's basketball.

    LSU type schedule has Perks

I believe we haven't seen Paige and Ice's real game yet. Paige, as amazing as she is, is still playing kind of tentative. Ice is just getting started. I hope this past St John's game is Ice's coming out party. Ice can be a real X factor this season if she plays loose and free. I love that Ice...

UConn proving they are a top 4 team

I don't know.. At Uconn, everybody eats.. At Iowa, only Caitlin eats.. Caitlin is literally the whole team. You beat Iowa by guarding everybody else and let Caitlin be Caitlin.
  28. NYCHUSKIES

    Aubrey :-)

Aubrey can enter the draft this year, no questions asked. However, my humble and unprofessional opinion would suggest she should play one more year at Uconn. I think Paige will come back too. From a monetary perspective, she'll make more money in college than the Wnba. Why not come back one more...

    UConn Recruiting

Same here.. I feel that Olivia can sense how important her role would be if she comes to Uconn. I'm guessing she might commit in the spring. I hope it's to Uconn. I believe she can have that Aalyah Boston impact we all wished happened at Uconn.

    Article on Ice’s slow start

I believe Ice is going to have a breakthrough game soon this season. It can be during the NCAAs and Big East tournament. Things will begin to click for her soon. I would just love her to be obsessive at driving to the basket, drawing fouls. Then she can have the space to shoot her jump shots...

    Maya is getting her flowers

Maya is simply one of, if not the best, champions we've ever had. She has won championships at every level she ever played in. High school, college, wnba, Europe, and China. In addition to world championships and Olympic gold medals. Simply an amazing career. And God knows how many more...
