It is mind boggling to think of the journey we as UConn fans have witnessed over the past 30 years. I was telling my son the other day that I am old enough to remember a time before we made a Final Four, and look where the program is now.
Doesn’t seem real, and it all started with the...
The 1 seed always plays the noon game Thursday, but that said…
Fox Sports app/website is likely your best bet unless you have a streaming service like YouTube TV or something.
Have had a great time getting back into Lego sets with my son the past few years (he’s 7 now). Probably the most fun we had was building a newer version of the pirate ship I had in my youth.
Note - This discussion is much more my speed than the luxury watch thread. Now if it was a watch made...
People sometimes forget how good the 1999 team was. We all remember Okafor’s back problems in 2004 — but the fact is that if Rip and Jake hadn’t gotten hurt before the Syracuse game, that team would have been one basket away from an undefeated season (referring to their loss to Miami on senior...
This thread is very timely, as we are just finishing renovations on what will be a den/guest room. The room happens to have large windows and I don’t think we have the wall space in there for a Murphy bed.
I will be checking out the American Leather sleepers - has anyone had experience with...
You should have as few debt obligations as possible when you leave the workforce. It’s much easier to weather economic downturns in retirement (even if just from an emotional standpoint) if you don’t have a mortgage payment.

Normally I’d agree, but as a general rule I would advise anyone who is 1-2 years out from retirement to pay off their primary residence ASAP.

If you are 1-2 years from retirement, I'd seriously consider using it to pay down the mortgage on your primary residence. The less debt you have in retirement the better - and with such a short time horizon you may find you save more from paying the mortgage down than you would have made from...
At the time it hurt but I agree. Florida may have been a tough matchup the next round, though I think ‘06 UConn was a team that tended to play to the level of its competition. Could beat or lose to anyone.
The vendor gave him his hot dog, and Buddha handed his money over.
A few seconds went by, and Buddha asked for his change.
The vendor replied, “Change comes only from within”
I'm sure there is. Maybe it's just the stage of life I'm in with a toddler running around, and I'll be back to binging on TV series in a few years. There are still a few shows I keep up with. But I find I spend much more time listening to podcasts these days, even around the house.
6 months in and I am totally satisfied with the combo of YouTube TV, Netflix and Prime Video.
Honestly, I'd even get rid of Netflix at this point (hardly ever use it), but I let my parents use my account and I don't have the heart to cut them off.
