and to be clear I posted many messages supporting Hurley when many were down on him on this board. You can't find an anti Hurley post from me. I trust Hurley to make the right calls on building the roster, and I highly doubt hurt feelings are his primary concern. My guess is that he will...
To be honest this is a loser mentality. Way too much of this on this board, too much worry about hurt feelings. I know it is a consideration, but it can't be the primary consideration. These are now professional ballplayers getting paid big money to compete and win games. If they don't want...
I think it's very possible Diarra continues to improve and will take over the starting role. I don't think we should put limitations on our players or our coaching staff's ability to coach them up.
Besides starting is overrated, who plays during crunch time is more important and there were...
UConn is far more likely to join those leftover football schools in a new ACC than they are to join the Big East. And the top Catholic schools would certainly be willing to join a hybrid ACC if it kept them relevant. The Big East won't be poaching any school with a football team, they will be...
I have wondered if Geno's influence is being underestimated. In my very amateur opinion, our offense looks a lot like the women's offense these days and I love it.
I remember when people thought Geno ball would never work in men's basketball.
Competition is a good thing. This is a highly competitive, championship level program, the only way to keep it that way is to make these professional players (and they are professionals now) compete for playing time.
Great player, always doing the right thing. Seems to be everywhere. Reminds me a lot of Jalen Brunson with his footwork in the paint and ability to get his shot off.
Shout out to Timberlake for picking Kansas.
Samson Johnson played the best ball of his UConn career in the second half. Played very well while Clingan rested. He has turned into a solid shot blocker.
Clingan has blossomed into a Superstar.
except we aren't winning anything the last two years without the current portal transfers on the team. The portal has given the roster a huge boost two years in a row, are you suggesting we stop doing that?
That used to be true but will modern "free agency" the three-year re-build no longer exists. Teams now re-load every year and hope for the best. There are no guarantees the players you mentioned stay at UConn, they have to be the first players to re-recruit next week.
After watching that highlight video of Wolf, he's even better than I thought. He'll have an offer from every team in the country. He certainly would fill a glaring need for next year's team. Our coaching staff and offense would likely put him in next year's NBA lottery. We could go from Cling...
I agree, and the unchosen team (UConn) looks so much better when they no longer have Big East officiating. It's happened two years in a row. No doubt in my mind that San Diego State would have beaten Marquette.
Why is everyone assuming St John's is out? Lunardi and his ilk are frequently wrong. Is there nobody else besides St John's that can lose their bid? Not that I really care, screw Pitino and the guy in the red coat, let them enjoy the NIT.
Pitino with a NYC team = Tuesday night ratings...
Pitino got one of our guys last year, that ended up being a big win for us, they got Alleyne and we got Spencer. Maybe Hurley had good reason to be mad at the guy (bagman) in the red coat.
