I’m surprised vpn doesn’t work especially for peacock…I was planning to do that myself. Isn’t masking the location of your IP address the entire point of a vpn??
Express VPN works. Used it for Xfinity(have cable for my home in Miami), Prime, and NetFlix since I work offshore. Make sure you clear your browser history and log out of the app you wish to use first before putting on express vpn.
...the games on UConn Plus if I'm awake. Then I watch the highlights and if it's a good game, the full replays posted here on the BY.
I gave up on VPN awhile ago. They figure out pretty quickly (using IP ranges I would guess) if you're using one of the big VPN providers.
There are sometimes...
I'd recommend messing with the NordVPN settings.
Try different servers, double VPN, etc, until something works. It usually does eventually.
(Can't speak to YTTV specifically though)
As for a legal method, I'd recommend checking out the DAZN app. The Creighton and SJU games are on there for...
I am out of the country for a few weeks and would like to catch the men’s and women’s games. I do have Nord VPN but in attempting to get You Tube TV or Peacock they come up with a message that essentially says if I am out of country their services are unavailable. Is there another VPN that would...
Any way to watch in Canada without a VPN?
Specifically the GTown game tomorrow. I'm up in Tremblant for the weekend.
Thanks advance for any assistance.
Easiest way I know of dealing with this is to get a job at an international company with offices all over then VPN into the appropriate office and watch on your work laptop or phone. :)
Most of the islands now have full cable packages or you can buy internet package and just stream. I spend a lot of time offshore and use VPN to watch USA sports.
If you’re looking to watch on a tablet, cell phone or laptop, no chance if you go through a wireless network, like at a hotel. Sometimes if you’re getting your signal just through the phone company I’ve gotten lucky.
Having said that, I think the game tomorrow is on actual Fox. in Montreal...
You can vote twice per day on your phone if you vote once through Chrome browser and again through Incognito mode. I just did. Probably many times if you can use different VPN locations.
Doesn't seem like it, not on the schedule.
If you have a streaming service that gets the channel in CT but you live elsewhere, you can probably VPN into it (assuming your streaming service of choice doesn't successfully block VPNs).
I've had issues trying to use a vpn...I tried to get NY teams when I am in Fla...and it shows me the local fla channels even though using a NY based address...seems like data other than vpn location are used.
I am by no means an expert on the tech stuff but if you have YTTV or Hulu Live i’m pretty sure you can get CBS channel 3 with a VPN in the Hartford area code
But if you have an android, you can download an app call Fake GPS and you can spoof your location to wherever you want. This is how I watch any NFL game when I'm not in the market for the game.
Anyone with YoutubeTV or similar had luck with a VPN? Located in D.C., but wondering if I VPN in from Boston if I can say "I'm traveling" and it will give me the local channels
This is why young people with more limited incomes most of whom are not on here use vpn (to protect against malware) and illegal aggregator streaming sites to access games. They cannot afford this craziness. How do I know? I asked my son how he and his friends watch the games.
Understandable for people in difficult situations to resort to illegal activity. But I imagine that many people do this who have adequate resources.
It’s entertaining watching how these illegal entities are being targeted. It’s another example of who gets the money. Governments and...
I have Fubo as my streaming service. Fubo has a cloud based dvr feature. I went to CBS Sports Network, scanned to the gametime timeslot. & preset it to record the game. Then I rewatched the game late Saturday night.
Youtube tv will let you use it in other locations for short periods of time-- like a few weeks. It works well on a phone and you can cast it. To view overseas you need a fake gps app on your phone, a VPN does not work to hide your location.
...local region. I’ve also had problems with the entire yttv platform being blocked while roaming outside of the US. For both issues, I believe a VPN could be used to override the problem (I don’t have one myself).
Lastly, when sny was dropped by yttv, I reluctantly “bit the bullet” and...
If you plan on watching on a laptop or a tablet, a VPN may permit you to watch on a streaming service wherever you may be. In effect, the VPN can make it appear to the streaming service as if you are watching from home.
Hulu Live can somehow detect and block certain VPNs. If you subscribe to Hulu Live, do some research.
No idea about other US streaming services that will provide broadcast rights to most UConn games, like YouTube TV.
It may be a matter of choosing which node to connect from. A VPN service can have more or fewer nodes around the world. For example, ProtonVPN has hundreds of access points located in Europe the U.S. and Asia.
And to add to what Bone Dog said, if you do a Google search "watching US television channels when in Europe" you will get a breakdown of the steps for connecting with a VPN as well as some other options all from a knowledgeable AI.
...you can use to compare different streaming services for pricing and channel line up.
I have the Hulu package and it works great for me. I'm in Florida but with I watch every UConn basketball and football without any issues. And with Express VPN I can watch it from anywhere in the world.
You can be anywhere in the world with internet and VPN is your friend to watch what you want to watch.
I just prefer going but living in Northern NJ it's 2.5 hrs to Storrs so mostly @Seton Hall, @MSG then I pick a few fun road games (e.g., last year @ Texas in Austin was fun).
