Weekly Recruiting Update, 9/30

Class of 2014:
Rakim Lubin:
He committed to UConn on his official visit this past weekend. Per On The Radar Hoops. Check the Boneyard Blog for my interview article with Lubin’s mom about his commitment.
Rashad Vaughn (SG): He cut UConn from his list. Per Adam Zagoria.
Chinanu Onuaku (C): He cut UConn and is now down to two schools. Per Daniel Martin.
Ray Kasongo (PF): He officially visited Oregon this past weekend and is rumored to be committing tomorrow. Per Corey Evans. However, he told me that he won’t be committing on Tuesday. Per himself.
Melvin Swift (SF): He is down to seven schools. The seven are UConn, UMASS, Penn St., SMU, Baylor, or St. Joseph’s. He will also be officially visiting UConn October 10th. Per himself.
Sam Cassell Jr. (PG): It looks like he is down to UConn and Louisville with a decision coming in the new couple of days. Per UConnball.
Bonzie Colson (PF): His visit to UConn is set. He was thinking about skipping his UConn visit and going somewhere else. Per Amelia Rayno. He will be visiting at the same time as Melvin Swift.

 

Class of 2015:
Jessie Govan (C):
He confirmed that he would be at UConn’s Midnight Madness. He also said that UConn, Seton Hall, Louisville, and Miami the most. Per Scout.
Tyler Dorsey (PG): The schools that have been in to see him workout this month are UConn, Kentucky, UCLA, Arizona, Louisville, Stanford, Arizona State, Colorado, and Oregon. Per Dinis Trigonis.
