UConn Offers Eric Davis

Shortly after starting to receive interest from the national champs UConn’s head coach Kevin Ollie made the call to offer the talented 2015 combo guard out of Saginaw, Michigan. His initial reaction was one you would expect, “I was excited and shocked,” he said.

However, UConn is far from being the only big name school to offer him or show interest in him. In addition to UConn his list includes NC State, Michigan, Michigan St., Oregon, UCLA, UNLV, Kentucky, Kansas, and Texas. Out of those schools he has said in the past that UNLV and UCLA will be receiving official visits from him. Coming in after the big horde of schools means coach Ollie and his staff have some catching up to do.

As for what was said to him by coach Ollie offered it was pretty simple. “Basically that they were interested and he was offering me a scholarship,” he explained. I also asked him to explain a little bit about what makes UConn a good option for him, “Coach Ollie does a fantastic job with his guards and he’s a positive guy. He’s played in the league and coached it so he’s know a lot,” is what he had to say. Davis would likely come into UConn and be one of the two lead guards coach likes to have on the court because he can handle and score the ball effectively.
