Willie Jackson is a 6’4″ 180lb shooting guard in the class of 2015. He attends Athens Christian School in Athens, Georgia. In an article with ESPN today he listed the schools that have offered and he only specifically talked a out one school, UConn. He said this: “I like the kind of coach that gives the guards freedom; I like the way Connecticut plays.”

As far as his game goes, he’s very good for his age. This year he averaged 25 points, six rebounds and five assist per game in leading his team to the final four of the Georgia 1A private playoffs. This past high school season he played mostly the point guard so he could develop into being a tall point. He has the passing abilities to play the point as well. His best attribute may be his basketball IQ; he knows the game very well and is a versatile player. Willie’s shot has to improve to be a big time college shooting guard and if he doesn’t he will have to make a permanent transition over to the point guard. Overall, he has a high ceiling and can become an elite college guard.

In today’s ESPN article he said that he has offers from Georgia Tech, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, UNC-Charlotte, Kansas and UConn. He also has interest from UNC and Baylor, among many others. He already has a timetable for his decision. He wants to commit the summer before his senior year but a lot can happen from now until then.
