Class of 2015 Shooting Guard has offer

Class of 2015 shooting guard Prince Ali is now claiming a UConn offer. He says that he recently acquired the offer from the UConn staff. He had this to say about UConn in an article published March 15th at Future150: “I’m very interested in UConn. It’s close to where I am originally from, and the program produces a lot of professionals. I’m glad to see my work is paying off, though.” Prince Ali now attends Pembroke Pines Charter in Florida.

Ali is a 6’4″, 180lbs shooting guard. In a playoff game on February 14th he led his team to a win with a 36 point outburst. He is coming onto the scene this year averaging 20 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Ali is a very good at cutting into the lane and getting layups for himself or creating open shots for his teammates. He has good touch on his passes which allow him to get his teammates into scoring positions when he is double-teamed. He is a good rebounding guard which allows him to push the ball up the court and get easy transition baskets. Prince is also a very good defensive player. He can guard the point guard, shooting guard, or small forward because of his energy level and motor. His shot is his biggest weakness. Right now he isn’t a consistent shooter with range. He has to work on that aspect of his game and that will make him a complete player.

In addition to UConn recruiting him has a list of other schools. He told Future150 that Florida, Florida State, Miami, Baylor, Notre Dame, UCF, and USF are other schools involved. He said that he expects to pick up other offers during the summer while playing AAU for Team Nike Florida.
